Content placement

Start with the board, then its media.

A new site is a Setup state whose primary action creates its first board; prepare that board and message before pairing an Apple TV. Rows then expose duration, placement, file size, update context, and complete slide visibility timelines. Contextual Add follows the selected object, and a new R2 upload remains unassigned until an operator adds it to a zone and publishes or stages the configuration.

Safe removal

Delete from the draft, with a way back.

Delete selected item appears below Stage changes and Edit settings for boards, slides, zones, and assigned assets. It previews the impact, confirms the removal, and offers Undo in the same dialog. Removing an assigned asset keeps its private upload available. Screens keep the active version until the valid changed draft is staged and activated.

Zone playback

Preview and order assets where they play.

The selected zone's Content tab shows thumbnail cards with filename, type, position, duration, preview, and explicit actions. Drag cards to reorder playback or use the earlier and later buttons. From Library offers Upload file even when empty; the new unique-key R2 object stays unassigned until Add to zone and Save.

Focused settings

Edit the board without repeating the tree.

Edit settings opens the requested board and slide with horizontal Frames & sizes, Schedule, and Templates tabs followed by the top slide selector. Frames keeps the fixed canvas and contextual inspector together; its Zone dropdown switches existing zones and Add zone creates an undoable draft zone. At phone widths where the canvas is unavailable, the manager keeps the overlay closed and asks for a tablet or computer.

Direct layout

Canvas and inspector work together.

Pinch or scroll zooms the fixed-size manager canvas; Space-drag or middle-drag pans. Frames & sizes adds eight resize handles, rotation, edge/center and 90-degree helpers, exact values, keyboard nudge, and undo/redo without changing board dimensions.

Slide hours

Drag recurring time on the slide.

The Schedule tab edits only the slide selected above. Drag its seven-day timeline in 15-minute increments, then fine-tune exact start and end times. Recurring hours use each Apple TV's current local timezone, and overnight hours continue into the next local day. Imported absolute windows remain exact UTC values with an inclusive start and exclusive end. The Apple TV rechecks schedules after clock or timezone changes and keeps the current board if a fetched schedule is invalid.

Saved handoff

Save here, stage from the hierarchy.

Save keeps isolated editor work in the current manager session; it is not durable or staged yet. Discard, Close, and Browser Back drop unsaved overlay work and restore the prior manager state. Boards & Content enables Stage only for a real saved change, then stores it with the chosen activation time.

Protected change

Layout edits remain explicit.

Routine media work preserves every frame. Explicit layout edits remain in the draft and establish a new protected baseline only when published or activated. A staged layout fails closed if another layout changes its baseline first.
